The struggle of the Amazonian Xingu tribes trying to save their habitat from the fire, to protect their ecosystem and many rare species living in the rainforests.
Biography
Born in the Alto Xingu indigenous Territory, Mato Grosso, Brazil in 1983. Member of the Kuikuro people. He trained through Brazil’s NGO programme “Video in the Villages / Video nas Aldeias”. His films were screened and awarded in festivals such as Gramado Brasília, Presence Autochtone Montreal and Rotterdam Film Festival. He made a residency at People’s Palace Projects, London, in 2015. In 2021, he represented the Xingu Indigenous Territories at the Glasgow COP26, where he led a series of political and artistic actions.
